Design

  • VP50 is a pure braided expanded graphite packing construction with 100° grafan yarns to form truly exceptional capabilities and performance. Under compression in the gland, PV50 dye-form into packing rings V120. whilst offering the advantage of avoiding the need to laboriously wrap V110 ribbon tape around valve stem,s and the cost of an inventory of many sizes of individual V120 die-formed rings. VP50 can be merely cut to length and spiraled into the gland. There is no need for individual cut rings, as is the case with conventional braided packing. Grafan is self lubricating and will not shrink nor dry out in use.

Application

  • Extreme condition, long life and zero leakage packing for all uses, up to high temperature, high pressure, high speed applications on pumps, valves, mixers agitators, expansion joints, ball valve seats and other static seals. Against all acids, alkalis and solvents (except very strong oxidizers) gases, feed water and super heated or saturated steam. Corrosion inhibitor acts as a sacrificial anode to protect the valves stem and the stuffing box.
  • Used in valves, pumps, expansion joints, mixers and agitators in high pressure, high temperature hostile environments of hydrocarbon processing, pulp and paper, power stations, refineries and industries where effective sealing is vital.
