Design

  • VP70 is a square-braided from high quality carbon yarns impregnated with pure graphite, special high temperature lubricants and Molybderum Disulphide. The carbon yarns are dense braided to provide a near frictionless, self-lubricating seal. Graphite power provides non-migrating lubricant between the packing and the shaft. The non-glazing, high temperature lubricant protects during the packing break-in period. The addition of Molybderum Disulphide. gives high temperature and high pressure lubrication with shaft wear protection even when contact pressures between packing and shaft are excessive.

Application

  • Used for pumps or valves in high pressure and high temperature. Handle water, steam, acids and alkalis for power stations, refineries, boiler plants etc.
  • VP70 is commonly used in stem turbines, high temperature motor-actuated valves and for high pressure, high temperature valve application in general.
